As executive director of the San Francisco Chronicle’s Season of Sharing Fund, I provided fundraising counsel and campaign management services that grew the fund by 6% for the five years that I was in charge. In 2007, the Season of Sharing Fund achieved a record donation goal of $4.975 million dollars, representing a 13% increase year after year, exceeding the all-time high of the dot.com boom in 2000. Prior to this fund-raising effort, I coordinated The Chronicle United Way internal campaign for ten years, in which record donations were recorded.
For the United Way, I organized annual onsite carnivals with rides, Halloween costume contests, bake sales, and the enormously popular Executive Dunk Tank, which increased donations while building company morale.
For ten years, I also spearheaded the Tenderloin Children’s Center’s annual holiday gift drive, which brought in over 500 gifts annually.
